Why you should hire a guide

Guides save you time
If you are unfamiliar with the waters you would like to fish or places you would like to bird and you have limited time, a guide can pinpoint the search.  Guides spend many hours in the field and on the river every week during all seasons of the year.  They can help give you the experience you are looking for.

Guides know the river
Because guides spend so much time in the environments where they guide, they know what works and when.  They understand what insects are most prevalent on the river and they understand differences that exist from headwaters to the mouth of rivers.

Guides can help with access
Guides know the best places to access rivers and lands legally and safely.  Also, they often have permission from landowners to access areas not open to the general public.

Guides can teach you
You can learn about and try new equipment and learn new techniques.

Guides are licensed
In the state of New Hampshire there is a rigorous testing process to become a licensed guide.  Part of the licensing requirement is being CPR and First Aid Certified.
