Although I do not use strike indicators as much as some people do, while fishing some nymphs or wet flies in certain water I find them useful. Check out the link for this new product below. Brilliant!

I met with Jackie Caserta of the Inn at Valley Farm in Walpole today. What a wonderful inn and cottages for anyone visiting our area to fish. It sits on a 105-acre working organic farm and the produce and meats are used at meals offered by Jackie each day of your stay. There is a hiking trail that leads from the farm into the rolling forested hills. The setting is bucolic and is just a ten-minute drive on country roads to excellent spots on the Cold and Connecticut Rivers. There is a link on the accommodations page.
Mitch Harrison We have received some rain over the past two weeks and although the ground was so dry that much of what fell was absorbed, the rivers do seem to be at a healthier level for the developing brook and brown trout. Last evening we received our first snow of the year; just a dusting. More substantial snow may come the day before Thanksgiving. I'll be tying up many flies this winter. Contact me if you would like to purchase or visit Alstead Country Crafts.
